What Is the Table Magnifying Lens Used For?
A magnifier lets fine detail be seen clearly by enlarging it, and a clamp-on version leaves both hands free for the work. The user fixes the clamp to the edge of a table or bench, bends the soft metal hose to bring the lens to the right height and position over the object, and switches on the 2 LED lights when the room light is insufficient. The 2.25x lens gives a wider view for reading maps, documents and directories, while the smaller 5x lens is used for close inspection of coins, stamps, jewellery and embroidery.
