Re-Sharpening Machine

Re-Sharpening Machine

Product Code : EL-WTMAA-10584

Quick Answer:
The Re-Sharpening Machine regrinds worn drill bits by holding them in a collet holder and running them against a suitable grinding wheel, with a CBN grinding wheel as standard for HSS drills and an SD wheel for carbide drills. A calibrated left scale is set to the “0” position and then adjusted to match the diameter of the drill being sharpened, giving accurate and repeatable resharpening results.

Operating Procedure:
Make sure of the material of the drill and choose a suitable grinding wheel; the standard is a CBN grinding wheel.
Set the left scale annulus to the “0” position. Turn the scale clockwise to the end, then rotate it counterclockwise to adjust back to the “0” position.
Choose a suitable collet for the collet holder and insert the collet into the holder at a 45-degree angle.
Follow the steps for setting up the drill in the collet holder without tightening it, keeping room to adjust the drill, and adjust the left scale to match the diameter of the drill.
Insert the collet holder with the drill into the left hole until it completely touches, then turn right to set it up. Insert the tip of the drill into the end and turn right to set it up.
Tighten the drill in the collet holder to fix the grinding position, then take out the chuck.
A CBN wheel is suitable for HSS drills, while an SD wheel is suitable for carbide drills.
