What Is the CNC Laser Cutting Machine Used For?

Laser cutting focuses a high-power beam to a small spot that melts, burns or vaporises the material along a programmed path, giving narrow cuts without a tool touching the work, and at lower power the same beam marks the surface for engraving. The operator loads the sheet, raises or lowers the motorised table and lets the autofocus system set the focus, uses the red dot pointer to locate the start position, and runs the job. The rotary attachment holds round items for engraving around their surface, and the cutting depth depends on the material, for example 28 mm in acrylic or 15 mm in plywood.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — the number of machines required.
  • Laser power — the laser power required within the 100-150 watt range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which materials can the CNC Laser Cutting Machine process?
It works on cloth, leather, wool, Plexiglas, wood, plastic, rubber, crystal, ceramic tile, jade and bamboo, for both cutting and engraving.

How thick a material can it cut?
It can cut 28 mm acrylic, 10 mm MDF or 15 mm plywood, working with a laser power in the 100 to 150 watt range.

What features help with setting up a job?
A motorised up-and-down table and an autofocus system set the working height and focus, and a red dot pointer shows where the laser will act on the material.

What is the rotary attachment for?
The rotary attachment turns cylindrical items during processing so that their curved surface can be engraved or cut, in addition to flat sheet work.

What are the machine's size and weight?
Complete with its motorised table, the machine is about 1200 × 800 × 1600 mm in length, width and height, and its weight is approximately 280 kg.
