Digital Level and Protractor (code EL-MAILE-10834) is a digital electronic spirit level, or inclinometer, used to find and check level, plumb and angles. It reads 0–360° (90° × 4) with ±0.2° accuracy and 0.1° resolution, has horizontal and vertical bubble vials, an aluminium frame and a magnetic base with a V-groove for shafts, and the Protractor version adds a built-in laser pointer for transferring levels.

What Is the Digital Level and Protractor Used For?

Fitters, carpenters and installers use it to set machines, shafts, pipes, frames and work surfaces to level, to plumb or to a set angle. For a quick check the user reads the horizontal or vertical bubble vial; for a figure, the display gives the angle or slope directly. The ZERO button makes any plain surface the reference, so the angle between two surfaces can be read, and HOLD keeps a reading taken in an awkward position. The magnets hold it on steel parts, the V-groove seats it on a round shaft, and the laser on the Protractor version is used to transfer a level to another point.
