What Is the Fiber Glass Measuring Tape Used For?

Long fiberglass tapes are used for setting out and checking distances on site, such as building lines, plot and room dimensions, and lengths in surveying and field laboratory work. One person holds the metal ring at the starting point while another walks the tape out, pulls it straight and reads the distance at the mark; the reel is then wound back with the folding handle.
